Emergency First Aid at Work

A 1-day / 6 hour course is required for recognition to be an Emergency First Aider in the workplace.  It is most suitable for a low-risk working environment or where the first aider will be working alongside a First Aider at Work.  The course gives the basic first aider the skills and confidence to take control of an incident, assess vital signs, give life-saving first aid and summon help if needed.

First Aid at Work

A 3-day / 18 hour course is specific to the workplace and complies with Health & Safety Regulations.  It is most suitable for those working in medium-risk environments or if an employer’s Assessment of First Aid Needs sees it as appropriate.

  • Choking
  • Angina, Heart Attack, CPR & Defibrillator use
  • Bleeding & Shock

First Aid at Work Requalification

A 2-day / 12 hour course to refresh and re-qualify the First Aider at Work with an in-date qualification, or with one that has expired no more than 28 days.  This course is a slim-lined version of the full 3-day course the candidate would have originally taken.

Forestry First Aid “+F”

The EFAW, FAW and Outdoor First Aid courses can all be certificated with the “+F” added on to them in order to comply with standards and requirements of those who work in the forestry industry.  If not already covered in the standard topics of the courses mentioned above, the additional subjects required that will be included in the course are:

  • Major / Catastrophic Bleeding
  • Haemostatic Dressings
  • Tourniquets
  • Lyme Disease

A 1-day / 6 hour course suitable for parents and those working with babies and young children.  Similar to the Emergency First Aid at Work content, but with a focus on children rather than adults.

Paediatric First Aid

A 2-day / 12 hour course suitable for child minders, nursery workers and teachers.  It covers the statutory requirements of training for those working with children and babies.

  • Bleeding & Shock
  • Sprains, Strains, Fractures & Dislocations

Outdoor First Aid

A 2-day / 16 hour course suitable for those living, working or playing in outdoor, rural or remote locations.  This course covers all the requirements for outdoor education professionals in order to validate their qualifications.  Practical scenarios will often take place outdoors, whatever the weather.

Bespoke courses can be organised for groups with a minimum of 4 people.  Group bookings can include discounted rates per person as the number of candidates increases.  Reasons you may wish to organise a bespoke course include the following:
